Toronto Marathon switch sets up clash Publié le octobre 17, 2010 par surintendant As the final October edition of the Goodlife Toronto Marathon ended, the distance runner’s dilemma began. After 16 years as Toronto’s October Marathon, the Goodlife event moves to May 15 next year. With Toronto hosting two separate marathons each fall the move was meant to unclog city streets, many of which are closed to accommodate runners, and provide space between the Goodlife event and the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon, which takes place in late September. Problem. May 15 is also the date for the Mississauga Marathon, a schedule that puts the two events in competition and puts local runners in a tough position.
